I've got a bit of SEO trivia for you today Reader.
Here it is:
Do you know how long backlinks take to work?
As in, how quickly you can see an increase in keyword rankings from a single new backlink?
Is it a day...
A week...
A month...
Or more?
Well, there's no shortage of backlink sellers out there who insist you can get instant ranking results from their magical link building services. And they've got impressive graphs to prove it.
You know the images. The ones where a website's keyword rankings skyrocket overnight as soon as some random backlink is placed on a site out in the blogosphere. And right next to that spike in rankings are the big bold words "LINKS BUILT HERE" with an arrow pointing to the day before the jump in keyword positions.
But can that really happen?
Can backlinks really work that fast to increase your keyword rankings?
