For nearly a year now, I’ve been using a fully split keyboard. I’ve talked quite a bit about ergonomic keyboards, which tilt and curve your hands. But I want to focus on just the “fully split” aspect. The kind of keyboard that looks like someone took a hacksaw to the middle of the thing.

The thing is, I think everyone should own a fully split keyboard. It’s so much more comfortable and functional on your desk. It opens up a world of possibilities, and you don’t even need a weird ergonomic version that requires relearning to type. Let me make the case that your next keyboard should be fully split.
