Azure Weekly - Power BI Weekly #156 - 10th May 2022
Power BI Weekly Newsletter Issue #156
powered by endjin
Welcome to the 156th edition of Power BI Weekly! This week we've been told about the New data source and gateway management experience (which is primarily UX changes I believe), and we've been told about the upcoming Changes to the Power BI service – simpler navigation, improvements to lists on Home, and style updates - nothing much of note here other than what's in the title! Elsewhere this week, there are a few developer tips this week. Firstly, Mathias Thierbach has been back on Reid Havens' channel describing Calling the Power BI REST API with VS Code (with Mathias Thierbach) (as a great alternative to using the "Try it" tool in the Power BI REST API docs - which has actually been removed for some reason). Also, James Bartlett has provided a PowerShell script to allow you to Download Report Authored in Browser as PBIX and Marcus Wegener has used pbi-tools to describe how to Copy Power BI data model back to PBIX file.
