Azure Weekly - Power BI Weekly #149 - 22nd March 2022
Power BI Weekly Newsletter Issue #149
powered by endjin
Welcome to the 149th edition of Power BI Weekly! It's that time again - the March 2022 Feature Summary is now out. Quite a light set of updates this month. My highlights would be: Error Bars, which you can use to visualize the uncertainty in your data (though I'm sure some of you will find other glorious ways to use this new formatting feature), the new Geocoding support in the Azure Maps visual (no need to mess around with Lats and Longs again), and the new improved method for deploying Power BI Embedded multi-tenancy solution in scale (aka the GA of service principal profiles in Power BI Embedded), which circumvents the 1000 workspace per SP limitation that has existed up until now. Another niche feature that's landed in this month's Power BI Desktop release are the New Options For The Table.Buffer Function In Power Query - Chris Webb has shown how this argument can massively reduce the evaluation overhead for certain queries.
