National Youth Poet Laureate Finalists
 
Congratulations to this year’s National Youth Poet Laureate finalists: Jessica Kim (Los Angeles); Alyssa Gaines (Indianapolis); Elizabeth Shvarts (New York City); and Isabella Ramirez (South Florida). Hosted by Kennedy Center Next 50 Leader, Mahogany L. Browne, the event will be held in person and available via livestream on the Kennedy Center’s Facebook page and the event page via YouTube. Friday, May 20 at 6 p.m. EST.  The event will also feature special guests from the Washington, D.C. Youth Poet Laureate Program. The 2022-23 National Youth Poet Laureate will be announced. Register here

With thanks to the Mellon Foundation, the Poetry Coalition is pleased to announce the 2022–23 Poetry Coalition Fellowships, which are paid fellowship positions hosted by founding member organizations Letras LatinasMass PoetryUrban WordWoodland Pattern, and Youth Speaks. Applications are being accepted until July 3, 2022. The positions will begin on September 5, 2022 and end on June 30, 2023. Interested individuals that are 21 or older are encouraged to apply, including those who are enrolled in or have recently graduated from an MFA program in creative writing.
