• The Big WordPress… version 6.0 release is here with over 1000 enhancements and bug fixes. This version takes Gutenberg experience another step forward. Overall, this update is working fine as evident from no or fewer issues on updating websites. • Optimize & SEO… Perfmatters plugin now has a new optimization option to lazy load CSS Background Images, often seen in pages created with page builders. • New Block Plugins… noticed this new Block Styles plugin that adds advanced design options promising to change the block builder into a true page builder experience. Also, check this new Controlled Content Block plugin by Phil Webster allowing control of which specific blocks are allowed in a specific section.

WP Ecosystem… WordPressDOTcom has launched a new starter plan at $5 per month but that does not allow the removal of advertisements, good for users not ready to jump to the higher-priced $15 per month WordPress Pro plan. 2. All Builder Updates… BricksBuilder is marching ahead with a lot of new additions (overall 300+ changes) in the version 1.4 release like more optimized HTML output, and a new WooCommerce Cart & Checkout Builder. The much-awaited Brizy 2.4 release is out with a lot of changes. Also, Oxygen 4.0 is now available with overhauled UI of the builder and other improvements.
   
   
3. For Woo Users… now available as a free plugin, TikTok for WooCommerce plugin allows you to connect the WooCommerce store directly to your TikTok For Business account for promotion and advertising campaigns. Also, FluentCRM (2.5.9) has added much-awaited WooCommerce Subscriptions integration for actions like payment renewal, subscription cancellation, or expiration.

Jean-Baptiste Audras did a wonderful breakdown of numbers around the WordPress 6.0 release which had contributions from 519 people from at least 53 countries and 134 identified companies. Country-wise contribution had these top 3 leading: USA, Russia, and Australia.

While, country-wise ranking by the number of contributions had the top 3 as: USA, India, and UK. The notable mention here was Bangladesh with its best-ever rank. Besides Automattic, the other companies contributing to this release were Yoast, Whodunit, GoDaddy, 10up, XWP, and Human Made.
