I could easily fill this space each week with questions and complaints and curiosities about what recordings are currently not available to stream on Spotify. I should just make a section below and use it to spotlight what is missing, and looking for clues as to why.

I realize a lot has to do with the labels and copyright issues and so on, but still…. doesn’t it bug ya that everything from the Van Morrison catalog is available to stream - except Tupelo Honey !!!

I only bring this up because during a round of Spotify surfing I realized - again - that Danny Wilson’s Meet Danny Wilson is not available, as well as Especially for You, The Smithereens debut album.

The Smithereens other albums are accessible to stream, but not the debut.

Why? If someone knows please drop me a line. I’m grateful to have the rest of the catalog, but for the love of god why can’t I stream the debut!?!!

This could go on forever. It’s one of the great quirks of the business of music streaming. There’s a gazillion songs to be enjoyed, but that endless number isn’t ‘everything.’ That’s when the fun begins.
