With a shortened workweek this week, I feel like the days flew by. Work has been busy as we are scaling and changing to support that growth. In addition, Alice and I have been working on batching content for social media, the goal being to share tips, inspiration, and helpful information 3-4 times a week.

That got me thinking….are you following me on Instagram? If not, I’d love to connect over there. It could be your dose of #jesspicks in between newsletter issues. 😍

Alice is trying to get me into using reels (🙈), which feels like a huge undertaking, and video is not my strong suit. But we are baby-stepping our way into it. So far, posting this one and this one.

As we move into summer and I’m listening to this training, I feel like it’s a good time to go into reflection and planning mode for the rest of the year. I hope that #jesspicks is a helpful resource to help you be an entrepreneur on your terms and help you through some of the overwhelm that can be a part of that journey.

👨‍🏫. Training: Newsletter Booster. In this 60-minute training, Josh Spector covers 30 things you can do in about 5 minutes to get more newsletter subscribers. I already started a LinkedIn newsletter because of this and looking to implement some more of his suggestions. Highly recommend!

☀️. Doing: Ideal Day Mad Lib. Take a few minutes and answer some questions about what an ideal day looks like for you one year from now. I found this process insightful and plan on having the answers come back to me as a reminder in a few weeks. It is a good reminder of the life that I’m trying to build.

🎧. Listening: Your Summer Rewind. Chicago hit the 80s this week, and this playlist popped up on my radar. Lots of Queen, Elton John, and Alessia Cara on mine. How about yours?

Love this idea of doing things in the present to make your future self’s life easier. For me, that’s chatting with my VA at least once a week to see what’s needed, batch-captioning social media posts, and doing some cleaning around the house as I go.
