Today we’re proud to announce that, after 11 years of building, our studio now counts 3 unicorns and 1 centaur among its startups.

Yes, you heard that right: Aircall (eF14), Spendesk (eF16) and most recently Front (eF14) have all joined the ranks of startups valued at over $1 billion. And just last month, Aircall reached the perhaps even rarer milestone of $100 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR). Hats off to all of them.

Studio news

• Launching our web3 studio 🚀 We launched 3founders, a new studio dedicated to web3 with Florent Quinti. 3founders follows the creation of Logic Founders last year, our studio focused on fintech. Cohort is the first startup to come out of the studio, with more coming very soon.

• Time spent together 🧑‍🤝‍🧑  We headed over to Aix-en-Provence for a fantastic few days under the southern sun. It was an amazing opportunity to bond over early-morning runs, delicious food, and workshops on the future of the studio.

• Steps towards inclusivity 🤝 We partnered with 50intech to help build more gender-equal teams and become a role-model for the startups we launch. For the partnership, we were treated to an insightful profile of Kairn (eF20) Co-Founder & CEO Patricia Bernasconi.

• Behind the scenes 🔎 Our Founder Thibaud Elziere had the pleasure of being interviewed on the Génération DIY podcast, revealing all - including how we’re developing with the verticalisation of the startup studio model and the recent launch of his app folk on Product Hunt.

• Navigating the market downturn 📉 In light of the recent market teardown, our Head of Finance & Investments Alexis Villette drew up 7 tips for founders to ride the current market downturn. Be sure to check out his tips!

• Tech.eu Summit Talks 🎤 Partner Quentin Nickmans had the pleasure of speaking at the very first Tech.eu Summit in Brussels, discussing early-stage funding in Europe.

• Call for founders 🔊 We’ve updated our Call for Founders page: we’re on the lookout for ambitious individuals to join us as a Founders, especially CTOs, for some our latest ideas: WhatsappX, which will reinvent WhatsApp by allowing businesses to truly wow their customers, and WholesaleX, the Shopify for wholesalers.

Spotlight on the current batch

• Cohort x Etam ⚡ Cohort (eF22) joined forces with leading French lingerie brand Etam for a campaign where it transposed silhouettes exhibited during the company’s 2022 Cruise Show into NFTs. These NFTs then enabled their holders to become owners of this chapter of the brand and get closer to its community.

• VC Growth 📈 Social investment platform Roundtable (eF21) published an insightful article delving into the mechanisms behind Europe’s VC growth and how operator-investors are currently the best position to unlock it - go have a read!

Highlights from past batches

• Founders Spotlight 🔦  We released the first edition of our latest series ‘Founders’ Spotlight’, where we get to know their startups and delve deeper into their experiences as a founder. First up: Patricia Bernasconi, CEO and Co-Founder of Kairn (eF20): take a look at her short video and article.

• Super Satisfying Ads 🏖️ Spend management software Spendesk (eF16) launched its ‘Super Satisfying’ ad campaign, featuring colourful images of people on holiday. The campaign sought to promote how great work can feel when you have the tools you need.

• Product of the Month 1️⃣ folk (eF19), the next-generation CRM for teams, celebrated achieving Product of the Month on Product Hunt in May - no doubt thanks to their deeply dividing kitten vs. poodle campaign (we’re 100% team poodle, by the way).

• Discussions 💬 knowledge management software Slite (eF17) released Discussions, a nifty new feature that allows teams to have conversations all in one place, empowering them to make decisions with a clear owner, status and record. It integrates into your documents, so you can easily use it where you work.
