We failed with migration but crossed $1,000 MRR milestone

Hey everyone. I missed you so much.

I continue my weekly newsletter about my businesses. However, I realized that a few weekly emails with listings are not an excellent tactic for all of you, so the weekly format seems the best.

Today I'm going to share a revenue breakdown, our troubles and successes during June, and some part of July.

I'm still in Ukraine, and the situation is a bit stabilized, but the recent shelling of Vinnytsia, where many civilians died, keeps Ukrainian people in stress mode.

🎉 Recently sold project

This month we have a second sale from the same founder. I'm glad that Microns worked out for Ferhat. He is a student from Turkey, and that motivates me a lot.

He sold his second project for $450, but he could grow the same approach to robust and sustainable earnings with such thinking. Start small and then scale.

I talked to Ferhat and gave them the idea to create an agency around selling projects on Microns. With our professional network of buyers, he can quickly scale it and make a significant cash flow venture.

Btw, if you're the founder and know how to build and get your first customers, you can do the same.

🤌 Unlucky experiment

Three months ago, I migrated my newsletter from Revue to the beehive with the hope of increasing open rates and engagement. But after measuring and testing variations, I realized there are little to no changes. Sometimes it went better, sometimes worse.

So I decided to migrate back to Revue. Revue has better analytics and customization (they have API, which I need). Also, you don't need to pay $50 every month. It cuts our expenses. Anyway, lessons learned, and we keep going.

Besides this, when we started sending the email twice a week with listings, I observed a lower open rate and more people unsubscribed. I realized that somebody is more severe and interested than others. Therefore, it makes sense to have two separate lists: free and premium members.

June was pretty good in terms of new buyers. We've onboarded many great people who started their acquisitions through Microns.

Right now, we have only one revenue stream: SaaS for premium members. I decided not to move forward with sponsorships. But anyway, we managed to reach the tough revenue milestones, $1k MRR.

And, of course, affiliates. Currently, only two people earn some money from it. One is the founder and another one from the acquisition world.
