WatchMcEnroe. “You cannot be serious!” John McEnroe’s famous outburst during a 1981 Wimbledon match has come to characterize this explosive and compelling sports icon. But McEnroe, who was number one in the world for four consecutive years, is more than his controversial antics on the court. This Showtime documentary takes place over one night in New York as he looks back and explores what drove him and almost broke him. The film includes unseen archival footage from some of the biggest matches in tennis history, as well as home videos that offer an intimate look at his life away from the game. McEnroe will be available Friday, September 2 on all streaming and on demand platforms for Showtime subscribers. It makes its on-air debut on Sunday, September 4 at 7 p.m. ET/PT. ListenHuberman Lab.
