Ok, issue #124 of the Spotify Newsletter only has one item in the ‘SPOTlight,’ but we’ve scattered a whopping 20 news links across our 6 topics.

In Spotify World this week there just wasn’t many mega stories - and no, that Meghan Markle podcast premiere stuff was never going to make its way up to the top of the rundown. She’s lucky the podcast was mentioned at all!

Still… it was a week that delivered a nice variety of news to give a look-see.

Maybe next week Neil Young will start screaming about something Spotify-related. That would surely gift us some exciting/obnoxious news.

Or perhaps a new product. Or a new partnership.

I just know that after 124 issues we haven’t had one week where there wasn’t enough quality Spotify news to not deploy the newsletter.

Spotify World always giveth. Some weeks more than others, but the Swedish Streamer never leaves us with empty pockets.

It’s the tiny things you miss the most, the things you take for granted until they’re gone and you’re surprised by how handy they were.

As it was when I started a new Apple Music trial, lured in by the human curators and 6 months of free music to begin again. Music’s music — if anything, Apple Music sounded marginally better than Spotify thanks to its Dolby Atmos-powered Spatial Audio (or, perhaps, it’s the placebo effect of the new). One album then another, a few auto-suggested songs, and we were off to a good start.
