The Ten of Cups tarot card is the card that indicates a happy family. This means everyone in your family is harmonious and not causing any friction. Everything is aligned. This card also shows a family gathering will be happening, and it will be fun. It does not necessarily mean your family is big. You can get this card if your tiny family consisting of you and a few friends who you consider as family are all on good terms. Or this card can also come up when you feel your family has been highly supportive. There is nothing negative to feel or say about your family right now at all. You feel loved and supported, and you are loved and supported by your family. This card can also indicate a family gathering like a reunion where you will only have a good time and make some happy memories. Now, before getting into the nitty-gritty of it, let's go over the history and appearance of the Ten of Cups. The History And Appearance Of The Ten of Cups Tarot CardThe Ten of Cups first appeared in Europe during the 14th century. It was one of the original 22 cards in the Tarot de Marseille, a deck still used by many tarot readers today. The Ten of Cups has changed over the centuries, but its meaning has remained unchanged. The most common interpretation of the card is that it represents a happy and harmonious home life. When you look at the Ten of Cups in the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, you will see a loving couple with outstretched arms. Their kids are playing near them, and when you look at the sky, you see a rainbow with ten cups. And it is the perfect image of pure bliss. The rainbow is a sign that troubling periods of coming to an end, and they can enjoy a wonderful time. You also see grass hills representing fertility and a river expressing their emotions. So what does it mean to get the Ten of Cups in a reading? Let's find that out. When You Get The Ten of Cups In A ReadingThe Ten of Cups is often seen as the card of perfect happiness and contentment. In a reading, this card can represent a time when everything is going right in your life and you are surrounded by love and support. This is a time to enjoy and appreciate all that you have. The Ten of Cups can also indicate that you are about to enter a period of great happiness and contentment in your life. If you have been striving for something, this card suggests that your efforts will finally pay off. You may also find yourself in a position to help others achieve their ten of cups. Whatever the case, the Ten of Cups is a positive card sign that good things are on the horizon. Now, let's go back to some storytelling and numerology to start. You learned that nine means attainment and fulfillment. Ten represents the completion of a cycle and renewal. So with the Nine of Cups, that new mom got her wish to be offered a work opportunity that could fit her lifestyle with motherhood and staying at home. And now that she has the job, she is happy and feels complete. Her baby is lovely, her husband is loving, and her friends and family are supportive. She can truly appreciate them and those who were there for her during tough times. So that is the Ten of Cups. But what happens when there is the Ten of Cups reversed? Ten of Cups ReversedThe Ten of Cups reversed is when you are disconnected from your family even though you wish you had been closer to them. You can also think about dysfunctional families, where you have had to go no contact with them for the sake of your sanity. And this happens a lot more frequently, which is positive because who says you have to stay with toxic people only because they are your family? I am glad there is a lot more acceptance when it comes to this situation. The Ten of Cups reversed can also mean that your values are not aligned with your family’s values. You are also struggling with your relationships. You struggle to get along with your family, and you don’t have friends to count on either. That can be challenging during hard times. That leads me to the next point. How To Apply The Ten of Cups To Your LifeThe time to apply the Ten of Cups to your life is when you are in need of support for whatever is going on. Even if it means moral support for something positive such as starting a new job or working on a new project. Lean on those you consider your family, which does not mean blood. Also, if you feel you do not have many friends to lean on, consider going to support groups. You may also want to join some groups where you feel you can make some positive connections and where the potential of a long-lasting friendship is likely. The next card I will cover is the Page of Cups, as the numbered cards are completed now in this suit! You’re a free subscriber to Miriam Reads Tarot .
