CEX data report for August: Upbit traffic rises most, Bitget volume falls both in SPOT&DER
According to statistics from the Wublockchain team. Spot trading volume on major CEXs in August increased 10.7% MoM. The top three increases were BitMart +19%, LBank +18% and Upbit +13%. The top three decliners were Bitget -38%, Phemex -29% and Bybit (Spot) -17%. Derivatives trading volume on major CEXs in August declined 2% MoM. The top three increases were Crypto.com +138%, Phemex +25% and BitMart +11%. The top three decliners were Bitfinex -41%, Huobi -22% and Bitget -20%. Website traffic of major CEXs in August declined 2.6% MoM. The top three increases were Upbit +28%, Crypto.com +18% and Deribit +18%. The top three decliners were FTX -33%, Huobi -21% and OKX -20%. The main traffic sources are Russia, US and Korea. Note: The following data may be heavily suspect of click farming/robots. Spot and derivatives data from Coingecko; traffic data from Similarweb.
