Hello — and welcome to the latest issue of the Spotify Newsletter.

The ‘big’ news of the week, it appears, is the debut of a new trailer for Netflix's ‘The Playlist’, a fictional drama series about Spotify.

The six-episode series, which hits the streaming service on Oct. 13, dives into the "Swedish start-up that shook the entire music industry and evolved into becoming one of the world's leading music services," according to Netflix.

Swedish actor Edvin Endre plays young tech entrepreneur Daniel Ek, now known as Spotify's super-rich co-founder and CEO. The Playlist is inspired by the book Spotify Untold by Sven Carlsson and Jonas Leijonhufvud.

The Spotify origin story surely is ripe for entertaining content - and now we are gifted with 6 episodes to give us the highs and lows of how a young, Swedish tech entrepreneur and his partners revolutionized a whole industry by offering free and legal streamed music around the world.

As Netflix puts it: “It is a story about how hard convictions, unrelenting will, access, and big dreams can help small players challenge the status quo by evolving the way we can all listen to music.”

So……… We’ll see!
