The flyer said: Anyone need a farm animal sitter for a month? It’s totally a real job. It also seemed like a fun way to get a free place to stay while you spend a month in a new town. I collected a bunch of the oddest jobs I heard about this week. So, let’s dive in. If you hear of any odd gigs, hit reply and share them. I’ll drop them in next week’s newsletter. Ps. know someone who would adore this newsletter? Oddest Jobs of the WeekDorm DecoratorI watch a lot of TikTok and right now is the season for people to share their totally remodeled and decorated dorm room. Some of these dorm decor videos are mind-blowing. I recently herd about a woman whose job it is to decorate dorm rooms. But this isn’t some small-time job, she gets paid $10k to do some of these dorm rooms. Good at interior design? Think small and consider going down the niche of dorm rooms. There’s big money there. Taste-Test Trader Joe’s FoodThis job post expired by it was offering $1k to taste test food at Trader Joe’s. Now that sounds like the best gig in the entire world, doesn’t it? But don’t worry, there are plenty more opportunities like this one. If you enjoy testing out new food products, check out this list of companies + and this one too = who pay you to do this! Create a Dog Bed for Humans?Sometimes the most head-scratching ides you have are the ones that can make you the most money. This company is selling dog beds for humans and has raised $290k on Kickstarter to launch their product. Should you also sell dog beds for humans? IDK. But hopefully this inspires you to start something odd but brilliant. Seasonal DecoratingIt’s almost the season for holidays galore. One job that pops up is being a holiday decorator - for people’s offices, homes, or for parties they are hosting. This woman gets paid to decorate during the holidays. If you start now, you could make full-time doing this gig just during a 3-month period!
