Why Majority-Minority Districts are so Important
Battleground is a reader-supported publication. Consider supporting the newsletter through Buy Me A Coffee. Why Majority-Minority Districts are so ImportantBack to our regularly scheduled programming next week!
Hi all! Battleground is taking a brief hiatus this week as I’ll be traveling to Washington DC for a couple of days! The next new issue will go live on Monday, September 26th. In the meantime, I wanted to share some content that underlines why majority-minority districts are so important. The video above is a panel discussion led by the League of Women Voters of Ohio that lays out the ways racial minorities are disenfranchised by our nation’s redistricting process. These women do a fantastic job of provinng why preserving majority-minority districts in Congress is vital for representation. After you’ve given the video a watch, be sure to check out my recent posts on America’s new majority-minority districts in both the urban Northeast and the South. ✨ Stay Beautiful! ✨ |
