Brock Herion is a software developer, writer, and creator from the Chicago suburbs.
He works primarily in React, Typescript and C#. When he's not working, he likes to read, write, and study. He uses his space for working, gaming, and creating content for Twitter, Instagram, and his blog.

Inside Brock's Workspace

Items and tools:
  • 16” 2021 M1 Max MacBook Pro for work
  • Custom built desktop for gaming (Ryzen 1700, GTX 1070
  • IQunix F96 Coral keyboard with Cherry MX Browns
  • Logitech MX Master 3 mouse
  • AirPods Pro earbuds
  • Shure MV7 microphone
  • Sony WHXB900N headphones
  • 27” Dell monitor with GSync, don’t recall the exact model
  • Various Grovemade products
  • Boba Fett phone holder and R2-D2 wax warmer
  • Vintage Disneyland/Disney World posters
What is your favorite item in your workspace?
My favorite item is probably my keyboard. I’m a mechanical keyboard fan and this is the best one I’ve used. The switches are amazing and build quality is top notch. I also love my MacBook Pro. It’s completely replaced my desktop for any sort of work. It handles everything I need it to with absolute ease.
How do you spark creativity?
I use my posters to spark creativity. I’m a Disney Park fanatic and am always so inspired by the love and imagination that does into creating these experiences. I love the idea of pushing technical boundaries while creating unique experiences that people will cherish.
How do you keep the work-life balance?
Sometimes keeping a work life balance is hard. I have my gaming/relaxing space combined with my work space. Sometimes I feel guilty I'm playing Minecraft or Elden Ring instead of programming. Having my laptop as my primary machine for working and my desktop for gaming has been a huge help. I eventually want to create a dedicated space for relaxing and gaming, but this works for the time being!
