Workspaces - 201 - Minjun Chen

Good morning. Every month we re-feature three previous setups front and center on the Workspaces homepage. In case you missed this month's update, the featured spaces are:
Who's workspace is worthy of being re-featured in November? Let me know what you think :)

Minjun Chen is a Product Designer at Microsoft Bing, designing multimedia search experiences.
Prior to working at Microsoft, she worked at Amazon, driving Prime member growth and engagement. Before designing these web and mobile consumer products, she solved complex logistics problems at Wayfair.
Physical Items:
Digital Tools:
  • Figma
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Microsoft OneNote
  • Microsoft Outlook
What is your favorite item in your workspace?
Physical item: definitely my Breville espresso machine. I’m a coffee-infused designer, and I make latte for myself to kick-start my brain in the early morning.

Digital tool: Figma. It allows me to visualize and share my ideas and design efficiently.
How do you spark creativity?
I always give myself the space to step away from any digital screens. I’m often inspired by physical objects and environments, like furniture, packaging, art installation and museums. Doing offline activities, such as practicing pilates, listening to a podcast, reading a book, also helps me think creatively and clearly.
What do you do in your free time?
I love pilates, boxing and yoga, so I workout everyday to stay healthy and energized. I’m also passionate about helping young designers to grow their career, particularly designers who identify as women of color. I spend a lot of time mentoring designers and helping them land their dream jobs.
