If you would like a tarot or astrology reading, get in touch with me at enneagramastrologytarot@gmail.com. Follow me on Medium as well! Now, at the second-last card in the series, the Queen of Pentacles. The Queen of Pentacles is the card that represents the working parent, whether it is the mother or the father. And while at home, the parent shows their physical nurturing by cooking healthy meals for the kids and the spouse. And they make sure the home is clean and inviting. They financially contribute to the household as well. The Queen of Pentacles also represents the archetype of someone practical and contributing or nurturing. Therefore, when this card comes up, these are the traits that you or someone else will possess. You may be a parent or just need to help out around the home because a family member will need help due to surgery. Or perhaps they need extra support because a family member had a baby. Therefore, the role of this archetype is to be like a working parent who can juggle the household's responsibilities. Let’s go over the history and appearance of the Queen of Pentacles. The History And Appearance of the Queen of PentaclesThe Queen of Pentacles is a powerful figure in the tarot. She is associated with prosperity, abundance, and fertility. The queen is also a symbol of motherhood and nurturing. The Queen of Pentacles has its roots in ancient Greece. The queen was known as the goddess Demeter. She was the goddess of agriculture and fertility. The queen was also associated with the underworld. In medieval times, the Queen of Pentacles was known as the queen of coins. She was a symbol of wealth and prosperity. The queen was often depicted holding a cornucopia, which represented abundance. Today, the Queen of Pentacles is still a powerful figure in the tarot. She represents all that is good in the world. She is a symbol of abundance, prosperity, and fertility. The queen also reminds us that we should care for our loved ones. If you look at the Queen of Pentacles in the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, you see a woman sitting on a stone throne, and you can see symbols related to success carved into it. Images of angels, goats, trees, and fruit represent pleasure and success. And she is holding a coin with both hands and caring for it as if she is nurturing it. She nurtures it because you need to nurture wealth. You also see plants and flowers around her, representing her connection to nature. You also see a rabbit hopping near where she sits, representing fertility and showing that her life aligns with what she wants to manifest. Now, let's go over what it means when the Queen of Pentacles is in a reading. What The Queen of Pentacles Means In A ReadingWhen you see the Queen of Pentacles in a reading, it signifies that you are on the right path. You are surrounded by love and abundance. All you need to do is open your heart and let the queen's energy flow into your life. Also, if you do get the Queen of Pentacles in your reading, it may mean that you will be incredibly prosperous. This queen is all about abundance, luxury, and comfort. She's the one who will help you manifest your deepest desires. So if you've wanted a raise at work or a new car, the Queen of Pentacles is the one you want on your side. This card can also indicate that you feel grounded and stable in your current life, which depends on the other cards surrounding it. And if you also get this card in a reading, it may represent someone offering help or guidance right now. When you think of the Queen of Pentacles, you can think of that working mother who is doing a great job juggling work, childcare, and home duties. You can imagine the mom with three kids, one school-aged child, another child in preschool, and a baby, as she is constantly working on her laptop and the phone for business. In addition, however, she tends to the needs of her kids and husband. You can envision that mom talking to her client on the phone while preparing the baby bottle since the baby is hungry. However, the upright version of the card will not run ragged. If she finds that she is filling her plate beyond capacity, she knows it is time to start delegating. That means she must hire a cleaning person to clean the house, rely on grocery delivery, and set up automatic banking. She will focus on her responsibilities as a nurturing and providing mother and a good business or career woman who can organize herself more often than not. Let’s go over the Queen of Pentacles reversed. Queen of Pentacles ReversedThe Queen of Pentacles, in reverse, can simply mean that even though you are a contributing parent or have this archetype, you may be creating a business just for yourself. You may want to be financially independent, and this business will not contribute to your family. Not for the time being, anyway. It may also represent the conflict between work and home. Also, when the Queen of Pentacles is reversed, this can represent a working mom who runs ragged and struggles with disorganization. She is often late paying bills and is notorious for forgetting essential appointments. You can also envision the Queen of Pentacles reversed as a woman who works only for herself and has a side business to cover her needs but still has a nurturing side. On the other hand, the card may also represent a woman who is insecure, jealous, dishonest, materialistic, self-centered, and highly intolerant. She also gossips, and you cannot trust her to keep a secret. Let’s talk about how you can utilize this card in your life. How To Apply The Queen Of Cups To Your LifeIf you happen to be that working parent that is also doing what you can to nurture the household, don't forget to carve in time for self-care. That is how the Queen of Pentacles can help, as she reminds you that you do so much for others; you have to take care of yourself as you cannot pour from an empty cup. How can you care for yourself if you are so busy between work and caring for your family? It does not necessarily mean going to the spa or a getaway, as you may not realistically have the time for that. But aside from eating healthy, getting active, and sleeping well, you need the time to nurture your soul by engaging in hobbies you enjoy, taking that extra time in the shower that you want, taking some spare time to finish up a good book, and you have the idea. You must nurture yourself if you are there to work hard and nurture everyone around you. The next card will be the last one in the series: the King of Pentacles.
