Matter, The Great Universal Smart Home Standard, Is Already Fragmented

We’ve spent the last few years waiting for Matter (formerly Project CHIP) to solve all of smart homes’ biggest problems. Unfortunately, it appears that smart home companies aren’t keen on solving these problems—they’ve meddled with Matter, and the protocol’s future may be one of confusion rather than clarity.
