Invitation to the Event Sourcing workshop
Hey! I'm usually not making New Year commitments. If you're not like me and have to learn something new that can change how you build software, I have something for you. No worries, it's not GenAI. It's another buzzword: Event Sourcing. And hey, is it actually a buzzword? It was 10 years ago, but now it's a mature approach that helps you understand your systems. It provides a full understanding of both business processes and technical understanding. It has mature tooling and established dos and don'ts. After my workshops, I heard a repeated comment: "It's not that hard as I thought it was, and actually really helpful". If you want to verify if that'll also be your comment, check out my upcoming online workshop with Practical Introduction to Event Sourcing, which is part of Domain-Driven Design Europe Europe Academy. The workshop will take place from January 27 to 30, 2025. Four hands-on sessions should give you a good foundation for applying Event Sourcing to your systems. You can do exercises in C#, Java or TypeScript. Learning objectives:I won't oversell it. You won't be an expert, but you'll get strong foundations on Event Sourcing, how to build systems with it, and, most importantly, what you don't know yet and where to look for answers. You will learn:

If you prefer dedicated training for your team, consultancy, or architecture review, or if I could help you in another way, feel free to reach out. Here are more details on the workshops I’m typically giving: https://event-driven.io/en/training/ If you’re not interested but have someone who would like to attend, I’d appreciate it if you share it with them. Cheers, and I wish you a great weekend! |
