Tap tap, is this thing on? Hey, Chris here, back with issue #307 of Switch Weekly — your Nintendo update. I took a break last week for technical reasons, but normal service resumes today and I've got a handful of great links for you to check out. I hope you are doing well.

The biggest news for Nintendo fans this week? Well, we got fresh sales data from the company, shedding light on just how well the Switch is doing, and we had a new Indie World presentation to enjoy. More on both of these in the issue below.

In the last issue, I touched upon Musk buying Twitter, and although the platform ain't dead yet, the early signs aren't great. My love of Twitter is pretty darn strong, so I'll likely go down with the sinking ship, but just in case I am also on Mastodon if you want to follow along there.

Next week we've got around 25 games coming to the Switch (there was around 25 last week too). As ever, the full list of what's coming is below, but Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are the obvious highlight (BTW, be warned: if you're trying to avoid details, lots of leaks on these Pokemon games).

Finally, I'm considering doing some regular live streams over on YouTube, both public and private for Patreon supporters — you can subscribe here if you want to get notified if/when this happens. (Here is my unplanned, unrehearsed test run of things)

🎮 Currently Playing: Super Mario 64 (because of this...)

▶ Indie World - November 2022 — A 25-minute showcase of indie games coming to the Switch. Lots of lovely stuff here, including a game about South Indian cooking, and a watercolour journey through the French countryside. Pepper Grinder and Sports Story are the highlights for me. Nintendo Switch sales cross 114 Million, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe nears 50 Million units sold — New sales records, but things are slowing down, as the company has now lowered its forecast for Switch console sales for this fiscal year by two million. BTW, the official Q&A sessions following any Nintendo financial results are always worth a read.
