One of the things that some of the Major Arcana cards are associated with is the Enneagram personality type. The Tarot has many correlations with things that you may not even consider. Enneagram Model: What Is It?The Enneagram model shows how people perceive the world and handle their emotions. Nine points on the model represent people's different personalities, which reveal their behavior. As well as showing how they respond to stressful and helpful situations. As a great tool for self-development, the Enneagram is used by many people to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and others. The term Enneagram comes from the Greek words ennea, meaning nine, and gramma, meaning scribe. Several cards of the Tarot's Major Arcana can also be compared to the Enneagram personalities. Neither it nor the cards in the Minor Arcana can be compared with those in the Major Arcana. However, let’s take a look at the cards that can match each of the Enneagram types right now: Type 1 – The ReformerReformers are those who need to follow the rules and who have this Enneagram type. It is necessary for them to conform to others. Additionally, they need to be organized and follow the rules. The Reformer is also known as the Perfectionist. Hierophant and Justice are the tarot cards associated with this Enneagram type. Both the Hierophant and the Justice cards represent traditions and conformity, and the Hierophant represents right from wrong. Type 2 – The HelperThey are known as the Helper or Nurturer of the Enneagram and tend to put others' needs before their own. The ultimate caregiver is this type. The Hanged Man and the Empress are the two tarot cards associated with the Helper. The Empress represents motherhood and nurturing, while the Hanged Man represents sacrifice. It is known that the Helper does just that. Type 3 – The AchieverThis Enneagram personality type is referred to as the Performer or the Achiever. There is a high level of competition among them, and they always strive to create something new and elite. They always have new ideas for improving their lives and often keep creating better versions of themselves. It is usually the type of person who tries to outdo others in their social circles or at work. Because of this, they are always striving to improve and create. The Magician is the tarot card associated with the Achiever. As with the Performer, the Magician is the ultimate creator who has brilliant ideas and puts them into action. Type 4 – The IndividualistIndividualistic or Romantic is the name given to this type of Enneagram. As a result, they are highly sensitive, creative, and expressive. In the tarot, the High Priestess matches their intuitive nature, which is why they are the matching cards. Like type 4, the High Priestess is known to be intuitive, have hidden talents, and be mysterious. Type 5 – The InvestigatorThe Investigator or Observer type is type 5 of the Enneagram. By researching, observing, and reflecting, they gain wisdom. Observing from a distance is more comfortable for those who prefer to remain private. As a result of being alone, their minds are stimulated. Tarot card Hermit is a perfect match for this type. Staying back and reflecting on one's own is what the Hermit does to gain spiritual wisdom and insight. For spiritual guidance, they rely on themselves. This card can also mean that the seeker should seek therapy for guidance in reflecting on themselves when it appears in a reading. An example of a type 5 introspection card would be this one. Type 6 – The Loyal CynicIn the Enneagram, type 6 is known as the Loyal Cynic or Loyalist. They will hang onto them for life when given a reason to trust an individual or a belief. They are the types that will struggle to trust anyone, a belief, or anything. Additionally, they are attached to their routine and predictions. There are obvious reasons for this type's anxiety. The Loyalist is like the Devil card. The Devil represents attachments, as the sign Capricorn is associated with the Devil, and type 6 is associated with the Devil. Type 7 – The EnthusiastAn Enneagram type 7 is known as the Enthusiast who is always up for a new adventure and needs to keep exploring. Travel is their passion, and they will keep learning new things to expand their minds. Most other types fear uncertainty, especially the 6, but the 7 loves it. The Fool card represents this type. The Fool represents those who are always on their way to the unknown and embrace it. This type 7 always seeks to experience something new, which is why the Fool is always ready for anything new. The Fool also embraces uncertainty because the Universe is believed in. Type 8 – The ChallengerType 8s are known as The Challenger, who must always be in control and power. This type is always the leader and won't allow anyone to manipulate them. When respected, they can be kind but can be quite aggressive. The Emperor is the card that best represents type 8. On his throne, the Emperor is keeping things under control. The Emperor is the card that rules stability, discipline, and order. Like type 8, the Emperor must be obeyed since he is the boss! Type 9 – The PeacemakerAs the 9 represents peace and calmness, those who are this type are known as the Peacemaker type. People of this type do not like friction, confrontation, or any form of conflict. They also need help making decisions and don't speak up because they don't like to ruffle feathers. They struggle with this. Temperance is the best card to represent the Peacemaker. The Temperance is patient, stable, and knows how to do things in moderation. Type 9 resonates with this card because it indicates that making decisions must be carefully considered before making them. What type do you think you are according to the Enneagram? Does the type of these cards match yours if you already know it? Is there any other card you can think of that does in the Major Arcana (or even Minor Arcana)?
