Microsoft is delaying the timeframe for completing nine of the 17 buildings in the massive redevelopment of its original Redmond, Wash., headquarters campus.
  • The first of the initial eight buildings will still open later this year. The company said it is committed to finishing the entire project, first announced in 2017, but wants to make sure the project reflects the needs of employees and the requirements for office space in the new era of hybrid work.   • Lara Croft is still one of the most recognizable characters in video game history and the move is the first big single-player game under Amazon’s publishing umbrella. Read more.

A new virtual reality venue is opening in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood.

  • Sandbox VR, which has a space in Kirkland, Wash., features “fully-body” VR and private “holodeck” rooms for up to six players to have a shared gaming experience. Read more.
