Why try to reinvent the wheel when you can learn from what others have done in the past and implement it in your own business?

Marketing is something that definitely most of us struggle with.

There’s never too much marketing advice you can get, that’s why I’ve put together this list of tips from our founders.

Use these insights to launch and grow your business:

Focus on content from day 1

The earlier you start, the sooner you’ll see the results.

It can be a blog, a Twitter account, or TikTok videos, it depends on your target audience and product/service (go where they are already).

Do things that don’t scale 

The legendary post by Paul Graham is still relevant today. 

Take this as an example: A pool cleaning business scanned the city using Google Maps to find pools, wrote down the addresses, and visited each house. The result? $7,000 in net revenue.

Attend events 

We’re all super comfy working from our computer, but you’re telling me that hundreds (or thousands) of potential customers will be together in one place, and you’re not going to go there and talk to as many of them as possible?

Once a customer, always a customer 

Even Ryan “The Fire Guy” knows that acquiring a new customer is 10 times more expensive than getting a new one. 

If someone buys your product or service, ensure they’re 120% satisfied, and they’ll become customers for a long time. 

👉  50% of this $60K/month business clients are repeating customers. 

Experiment with your pricing 

You most likely didn’t set the right price the first time. Essentially because pricing is extremely subjective. 

Create new plans, add/remove features, etc. and see how that affects your acquisition. 

👉  This business grew its revenue 2.5x by experimenting with pricing. 

Do some free work 

Especially if you’re just starting. 

I know telling someone to work for free doesn’t seem like the best business advice. But there are tons of upsides to doing it:

• Build trust
• Prove your value
• Establish connections
• Build a portfolio

PR 

If you think this is too fancy and only for big companies, you’re wrong. 

There are thousands of reporters and bloggers writing content every day. And they’re hungry for links, testimonials, etc. 

Sign up for HARO and reply to their emails when something matches your profile. You’d be surprised how easy it’s possible to get a mention in a big publication.

👉  This business that only serves people under 30 took advantage of this strategy, and now it generates $300K/month.
