Negative Nancy says - “What is so special about Agencies and teams?” Me - In short - They have money to spend. Typically ‘agencies and companies with teams’ are profitable or have positive revenue flow. These agencies are usually happy to spend money to get tools that cut down their cost or save time for their teams. Negative Nancy says - “But I am already working on the B2C side of things.” Me - No problem. In most cases - you can improve your B2C offering with new features that can be used by Agencies/Teams. For example, CrowdPanel has plans both for B2C and Enterprises as well. Another example is FeedHive already making thousands of dollars in revenue, recently changed gears and added Agency functionality for their app. Duda is another example where they have both B2C and Agency versions too making thousands of dollars in revenue. There is so much to learn from these examples. Deep-dive & Some niches While building a SaaS, it’s always good to see a way to add features that helps Agencies/Teams to use the product. Typically for any agency model/teams model to work - you need features like user management, team collaboration, etc so that multiple users/teams can use the same account. Once the product starts doing well with B2C and is robust, you can just start packaging it for Agencies easily. If you have an existing product, see how well you can bundle new features and package to Agencies, bigger teams, and Enterprises. Let’s see some of the products you could think of in this niche. Single SaaS Solution for multiple apps: With companies, teams, and agencies going remote - the number of tools and subscriptions used by each company has grown significantly. For example, each company/agency is using separate platforms for chat, video conference, task management, CRM solution, Calendar management, etc. Create a SaaS solution for the teams where each of these can be used under a single subscription. See Cogency for inspiration. Launched in 2021, in less than a year, Cogency has about 2000 active users by March, 2022 and has a good conversion to paid users. The tag like of Cogency is simple - “Save money and get one subscription for all your needs without the fuss. Unsubscribe from Asana, Zoom, Miro, Lucidchart, Jira, Trello, ClickUp, Monday, and Calendly”. For companies, this is the easiest way to save the costs as they could get multiple platforms - all under a single subscription. With this model, Cogency is seeing good traction, user base, and a good trail to paid users conversion, all in less than a year. SaaS Solution for Productized Services: If you have never heard of Productized Services, it’s nothing but packing a service into a fixed offering. For example providing services like - “Unlimited WordPress development”, “Unlimited Website Design”, “Unlimited Graphics Design” etc. Usually, the pricing for these is fixed per month. To give you an example, DesignJoy is making $1M/year with this model with a solo founder. In most cases, these agencies run their task management via emails and Trello making it a little difficult. Create a SaaS solution to handle these kinds of agencies. The SaaS should provide features to add clients, charge billing, manage requests, send emails, and data dashboards to see the state of the requests. See ManyRequests that made $15K in pre-sales before building the software under this model. ManyRequests also received funding from Calmfund. SaaS tools for Real Estate Agents: Real estate is one of the markets that have good money to spend. Real Estate Agencies need a lot of tools to market the available real estate properties on social channels and forums. Create a SaaS exclusively for Real Estate agencies. By branding the tool exclusively for Real estate agencies and targeting a specific niche, there are higher chances of getting paid subscribers. The tool should be able to automate the creation of social media graphics using the agency logo, and automatically created images/graphics based on real estate properties data. Real estate agents typically spend a lot of time creating posters for each of the available properties, then send emails to their user base looking for properties in a given locality, post the availability on social channels, etc. Create a SaaS that solves all these problems for real estate agencies. AgentNest crossed $8K MRR with a similar SaaS solution. Web4Reality crossed $100K MRR by building tools for real estate agents. SEO Tools for Agencies: There are many SEO tools around keyword tracking, SERP tracking, Onpage suggestions, Page crawling. Create SEO tools around white-label options so that agencies and companies can buy these tools/software and brand it under their company and can resell them to their customers. Instead of targeting B2C by selling directly to customers, you can actually build a business around B2B by selling these tools with a white-label option to agencies that need to provide SEO to their end customers. SERankin with white label SEO option has an estimated revenue of $8M/year. SEOptimer with their White Label SEO Audit Tool has an estimated revenue of $20K MRR. SiteChecker in a similar space around SEO tools with white-label options has an estimated revenue of $98K MRR. RavenTools that serves white-label SEO reports has an estimated revenue of $750K/year. 🔒 👉 [Get access to 800+ additional ideas and more additional ideas in this niche and across all niches from Pro version with data points, revenue information].
