Anthropic’s Claude improves on ChatGPT, but still suffers from limitations (4 minute read)

Anthropic has developed an AI system similar to ChatGPT that appears to improve on ChatGPT in key ways. Claude is accessible through a Slack integration as part of a closed beta. It was created using a technique called constitutional AI that aims to provide a principle-based approach to aligning AI systems with human intentions. Apple is reportedly making an all-in-one cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth chip (2 minute read)

Apple is reportedly developing its own chip to replace the Broadcom Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip it currently uses. The new in-house chip will power cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth functionality. Apple is aiming to use its own cellular modems by the end of 2024 or early 2025.

Virgin Orbit launched its LauncherOne rocket from the UK on Monday. The mission aimed to carry satellites from seven customers to low Earth orbit. It was a joint effort between Britain and the US. There was an anomaly during the launch that prevented the modified Boeing 747-400 from reaching orbit.
This biotech startup says mice live longer after genetic reprogramming (5 minute read)

Rejuvenate Bio, a San Diego biotech company, claims that it has used a technique called reprogramming to rejuvenate old mice and extend their lives. Reprogramming works by exposing cells to a set of three or four proteins that are typically active in early-stage embryos. The mice who received treatment in Rejuvenate's studies lived 7% longer overall compared to control mice. While the study's results are promising, there are issues with reprogramming, such as an increased risk of cancer.

The Camera Module 3 will cost $25 for the standard version and $35 for the ultra-wide angle version.
