MegaMaker - Building this in public

hey, here's a few thoughts from today

Before the holidays, I got lots of advice from you on improving the search rank for Transistor's "How to start a podcast" page.

I wanted to do a bunch of upgrades on the Transistor site (to help with SEO, functionality, and to give it a facelift), so I hired Josh Anderton to help me out.

Josh and I just built some really cool stuff. Here's the video:

I think the video will be helpful for anyone looking for inspiration with their SaaS marketing site design and functionality.

Many of these changes are to improve our search rankings for "How to start a podcast," but we're also trying to improve the overall readability and navigation on the site. This includes some cool Tailwind CSS design updates and other web design tactics.

You can also check out the page we just redeveloped: How to start a podcast in 2023.

For SEO testing, we're using: https://seotesting.com/

Cheers,
Justin Jackson

PS: If you're experimenting with Mastodon, I highly recommend the "Ice Cubes" iOS app. For the web, I recommend Elk.
