Turkish artist Ersnts celebrates the limitless possibilities of what our minds can create. Committed to creating 111 NFTs in the series Musical Mind, Ersnts frees the spirit of dance in rooms where the only requirement is moving to music, that is not there. Ersnts only gives context clues to the type of music being played: a piano, cello, harp, the style of dance, or a head-banging guitar player. Even without the music you can feel the rhythm and notes moving through the subject in each piece.

Each piece represents faceless individuals performing the spectrum of dance moves and a broad variety of music genres. The connections between art and music are endless and Ersnts enriches this connection in each.

In the first iteration of the series, Ersnts shows our connection with music and running. If pressed, many of us would be unable to remember the last time we saw an individual running for exercise without headphones.

The level of skill varies from the painfully awkward dances of the rhythmically challenged in Musical Mind #004 to one of the greatest, Michael Jackson, in Musical Mind #029. 

Ersnts sees dance as the freedom of expression. The Musical Mind series showcases what Ernsts speaks to in their UNDRGRND Membership Card Drop, Time to Read, “by reading, we can develop our imagination and experience hidden adventures.”

Music taps into something innately human in all of us. It grants us permission to be free. In the same way, our imagination allows us to escape, explore and be free; which is what Ersnts wants for all of us.
