Have you ever used an AI chatbot or art generator and thought, “man, this thing doesn’t seem very smart.” That’s because, despite its name, Artificial Intelligence isn’t actually intelligent. In our top story, Andrew explains why. He explains that the perennial science fiction term doesn’t mean the same thing in today’s marketing jargon as it doesn’t line up with what we’ve come to expect from an Android or even a fellow human. Rather, it’s simply some very complicated algorithms connected to a set of data programmed to recompile that data based on a prompt from the user. He also explains how it’s human intelligence that’s actually driving these AI programs.
