• New Features… TutorLMS v2.1.8 has added ChatGPT integration to enable AI-powered content generation for your courses; this is only available in paid plans. While the Propovoice CRM Plugin has introduced custom fields and new user roles like staff, project manager, billing manager, and so on.
  
  
• New Free Plugins… Jose Mortellaro has released a new Essential Form plugin promising to be the lightest plugin for contact forms. While David Vongries has released an all-new Media Toolkit plugin that allows finer control over media files on your WordPress site.
  
  
• Plugin Updates… Post Type Builder (PTB) had a significant V2 update, now allows multiple archive templates, and a new shortcode to display custom fields. LifterLMS Version 7.1.0 has added a new dashboard page under the LifterLMS menu in the admin that displays recent activity widgets and links to useful resources.

1. Acquisition Train… is going strong in 2023 for Awesome Motive as it has now acquired Shawn Hesketh’s WP101 website featuring WordPress tutorials and courses. Shawn Hesketh published about the WP101 journey and, moving forward – joining the likes of Chris Lema and Jennifer Bourn in the MotivationsAI venture. Also, MonetizeMore has acquired the Advanced Ads plugin.
   
   
2. Price Changes & Ownership… the popular hosting platform Cloudways has increased prices across various plans for various server providers. The popular WordPress tutorials blog WPLift was acquired sometime back, and now we know the owner – Ronik Patel, who also runs UnlimitedWP.
   
   
3. Core Updates… how to get the complete information about a specific WordPress release? Anne McCarthy is trying to solve this problem with the Source of Truth series for the WordPress 6.2 release. Also, WordPress 6.2 Beta 4 update is now available for your testing. Gutenberg 15.2 has added the revisions feature for templates and template parts, allowing quick undo or reverting.

WordCamp Asia 2023: Products & Recap!

Continuing with the WordCamp Asia 2023 and the discovery of new products. I was introduced to Blockonomics, which allows bitcoin payments on WordPress websites via their WooCommerce and EDD plugins. They only charge a 1% transaction fee; the first 20 payments are free.

Also, I got introduced to Vishal Kothari, creating useful WooCommerce plugins at Tyche Softwares. One of their plugin, Booking & Appointment for WooCommerce, was recently updated to display booking dates in a dropdown instead of just being shown in a calendar.
