One cowshed can hold 100 people at a squeeze and a push.

And another one that has 150+ million people forming a line outside waiting to get in.

Now, imagine that they are the same cowshed.

That is indeed what Do Cowshed is like.

It can only hold 100 people. 

And yet its talks have been viewed over 150 million+ times.

So, to answer the question: Yes.

A small event can have a massive influence.

Over the last 14 years, we have made every mistake in the book in terms of running events. 

We got the scars. We took the hits. Oh boy, the stories we could tell.

But.

Around five years ago, I decided if I wasn’t going to quit on this thing, I would go and learn how to be world-class at this thing. 

That took me on an incredible learning journey.

I studied events, big and small. I studied business models, good and bad. I studied how to build a community that seeks to serve the humans within it. And I learned how to sell online from the old gurus and the new start-ups.

From all the masters...I discovered another way.

I learned why I was struggling.

I was chasing a broken business model because that was what everyone else was using. When I sat and spoke to them, it was NOT working for them either.

And yet, here I was saying to myself, 'next year would get better.'

Sure, I worked harder. Sure, I worked longer. But it was the same broken business model, just a little shinier. Poor economic always beats a great work ethic. Eventually. 

But now here we are:

The Do is thriving, influential, and the fun is back. Yay.

In short, three small things changed everything.

1. The event is here to make reputation.
2. 100 true fans was more than enough.
3. The business was elsewhere.

I have turned all that learning into an online course called Secrets of Small Magical Events.

It is what I know now... that I so wish I had known 14 years ago.

It would have saved me years, many sleepless nights, and a few hundred thousand pounds. La la la.
