Monthly US Amazon searches for “Montessori furniture” are on the rise, and the (fast-growing) r/Montessori subreddit is full of furniture-related questions.

But wait, back up… Monte-what now?

Montessori furniture is child-centric, adjustable, and designed to help kids become more independent.

Self-sufficient babies are cool and all, but why should you care? Because Ahrefs ranks keyword difficulty at just 8/100, so you can still get in early on the trend.

Some ways to jump on the opportunity:

1. Rental subscription services like Lovevery, but for furniture. Pieces are updated as each child grows, and then returned to be reused.
   
   
2. Products that stand out with a differentiator. For example, sustainable manufacturing is important to millennial and Gen Z parents. Or you can target the lower-end of the market: A simple cube shelf at startup Sprout Kids (40k+ site visits/mo.) goes for a whopping $649.
   
   
3. Monetized info. Searches for “Montessori DIY” are also on the rise, so you could produce how-to guides with links to affiliate resources.

Bonus takeaway: Kids are expensive.

Agency owners, listen up. We talked to several Trends members who have multimillion-dollar agencies about how they productized their services.

Here are the biggest takeaways:

• Start with your most scalable service. Jim Huffman runs GrowthHit — a conversion rate optimization (CRO) agency. He productized by creating One Day Design, which sells bundled offerings. The key? Identifying a single service that is scalable and has a high customer satisfaction rate.
  
  
• Advertise your unique selling proposition (USP). One Day Design effectively highlights why their offering is better than recruiting an in-house designer and hiring an agency (ironically) or a freelancer.
  
  
• Provide an a la carte menu. Hila Bouzaglou has successfully productized a B2B content writing agency by compiling an a la carte content menu. Clients can choose from three predefined bundled offerings, or they can build their own subscription plan from the content menu.

Becky Schroeder had the idea for Glo-Sheet while waiting in the dimming light of a department store parking lot in the early 1970s.
