Hey Cashflow crew!

As you may already know, tomorrow is Tax Day—the last day to file taxes without an extension. If you haven't filed your return yet, you're not alone. The Internal Revenue Service reported that it received 90 million returns as of March 30. In total, the IRS said more than 168 million individual tax returns are expected to be filed this year "with the vast majority of those coming before the April 18 tax deadline."

Since many of you are business owners, you may be juggling a lot during this time and may need an extension. The IRS allows filers an extension with a few caveats that you can read here. For those who have already filed and are receiving a refund, in what ways could you use the additional funds to support your business goals?

• VC Connections: Zack Giarrizzo shared that venture capitalists are gathering at a Miami conference this week. We have several members in the area so this could be a great opportunity to meet up as well as rub shoulders with accredited investors. Check out the post.
• Navigating GM Equity: Brooks Lambert shared that he’s bringing on a GM that requested an equity stake in the company. He’s curious to know what others have offered in the situation and if there’s a standardized percentage range. Follow for answers or contribute a comment here.
• Ice Vending: Several members operate ice machines or have shown interest in owning them. Michael Lynch shared a post letting others know that knows of a location near Panama City Beach that has 400 units on the property for a potential partnership.

• Virtual Networking: Raquel Rigby is ready to talk deals with you! She initiated an ongoing thread inviting members to have a weekly virtual networking session, which will be Thursdays at 5pm CST. It will be a casual meetup to get to know each other and discuss wins/struggles and do live deal reviews. RSVP here!
• California Deal: Jex Musa has her sights set on an established solo-run law practice/business and is looking for help with a business broker or attorney in the Orange County area that could facilitate this deal. The seller is motivated to do a deal so we hope our Cali members can help here!
