Hardware Updates

Model 3 Refresh πŸ“·
Rumors have been circulating on social media and Tesla forums about a possible refresh of the Model 3 electric vehicle. Some Tesla fans and potential buyers speculate that the company may introduce a new version of the Model 3 with updated features and design elements. However, Tesla has not officially confirmed any potential refresh, and it remains unclear if or when any updates may be announced. Recently, an image of the possible refreshed Model 3 was leaked on the internet, showing a Model 3 with Tesla Roadster-inspired headlights. What do you think about it? Do you like the new design?

Software Updates

Rear tire depth low - Schedule service πŸ“·
I see! It's not uncommon to miss some of the features of a Tesla vehicle. Just to clarify, it appears that Tesla vehicles have a feature where they calculate long-term average differences between the front and rear axle wheel speeds. This information is then used to model the tire tread depth, alerting the driver when the car might require a tire rotation or replacement.

Tesla re-enables remote window functions after NHTSA recall
Tesla has re-enabled remote window control functions on its vehicles after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) asked the company to disable them due to a safety concern. The issue arose from a recall related to the software controlling the window defrosting and defogging functions. Tesla has since fixed the software issue and re-enabled the remote window functions for affected vehicles through an over-the-air software update.

Semi

Pepsi-branded Tesla Semi spotted in the wild πŸ“·
A Pepsi-branded Tesla Semi was recently sighted on the road, and according to the driver, it was their first day driving it. The driver expressed their appreciation for how smoothly the Semi drove but complained about difficulties with using the app.

Cybertruck
Cybertruck mega frunk πŸ“·
It seems that Tesla has made modifications to the opening of the frunk in the Cybertruck, making it even larger than what it seemed to be before.

Cybertruck gigantic wiper in action πŸ“Ή
Good video of the gigantic wiper in action.

FSD Beta
FSD Beta 11.4 (2023.6.15) release notes πŸ“·
The most notable of these are improved traffic light and stop sign recognition, improved lane change behavior, and improved navigation. FSD Beta 11.4 is still under development, but it is a significant improvement over previous versions of FSD.

πŸ€“ What the acronym
As a Tesla fan, I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.
  • FSD - Full Self-Driving
  • NHTSA - National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
