[COMING SOON] ‘The Zoanthropic Lineage’ is a project by 3D artist and sculptor Maximiliano Hache. Dropping on 1 May on Crypto.com NFT, it features wild and mythological creatures that tell the story of humanity.

[COMING SOON] ‘Spirits of The Lost’ is a collection by artist and artistic director Vamuel. This drop explores the beauty and nightmares in life, and showcases love through time and posterity. The collection goes live on Crypto.com NFT on 8 May.

Blockchain Games

[LIVE] Eyeball Games has released its new 9-ball mode. The new 9-ball rules will increase how challenging the game is, bringing a new level of pool competition to the game’s 8th season.

[COMING SOON] Defira is in the process of updating the game’s character designs and attack animations. The updates will be applied to the soon-to-be-released Defira gameplay, and gamers can get sneak peeks by joining the Defira Bonfire Event in the game’s Discord server.

News Highlights

• Bored Ape Yacht Club creator Yuga Labs has won a landmark victory over a copycat NFT project, dubbed ‘RR/BAYC’. The judgement was described as a win for the Web3 industry, allowing counterfeiters to be held accountable.

• Electronic musicians Steve Aoki and Justin ‘3LAU’ Blau have announced their first track ‘Concentrate’, which draws inspiration from the ‘CryptoPunks’ NFT collection. Half of all royalties will be given to 99 selected NFT collectors, with the goal of giving back to collectors and democratising ownership of the song.

• Romania aims to drive Web3 adoption in the country through the launch of a national NFT marketplace. The launch of the NFT trading platform will feature unique NFT collections developed in collaboration with prominent Romanian sportspeople, organisations, and institutions.

• NFT collective Proof is partnering with 3D world-building platform Mona to launch ‘Moonbirds Monaverse’, a social and virtual world for the Moonbirds community. ‘Moonbirds’ NFT holders will be able to participate in virtual community experiences, including ‘live’ town halls, viewing parties, and art reveals.
