The Interesting Thing About Synchronicities and TarotIs it a coincidence that specific cards come out for you?You know all about those wild coincidences, which are known as synchronicities. Examples are seeing angel numbers, significant names, phrases, symbols, and objects with profound meaning. For example, seeing angel numbers is a common example of synchronicity. For example, if you are ready to deal with a significant change in your life and are called to go for it, you will see “555” all the time. I wrote a detailed post about synchronicities on Tarot Talk earlier today: Are Synchronicities a Big Deal, or Are They a Figment of Your Imagination? But I will talk more about what synchronicities have to do with tarot here. What is a Synchronicity?Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist, and psychoanalyst, introduced the concept of synchronicity. It refers to a coincidence with a deeper meaning and cannot be explained by conventional causality. Synchronicity is a coincidence with a more profound significance or meaning beyond mere chance. Jung believed synchronicities connect a person's inner and outer worlds, providing insight into the patterns and meanings behind their life experiences. According to Jung, synchronicities communicate between the unconscious and conscious mind, helping individuals better understand themselves and their role in the world. Synchronicities may not appear related but ultimately lead to a specific outcome or a coincidence that holds great significance. And what does it have to do with tarot? Synchronicities and TarotHave you wondered when you have done a tarot reading, or if one had been done for you, that the “right” cards show up - the ones that make sense for your query? That is synchronicity, which depends on the energy you are working with when reading the cards. Whatever cards you pull are based on intuition, as you feel guided to pull specific cards as you shuffle. When you have that urge to pull those cards, and as you pull them and they fit for the query, that is all due to the energetic pull from spirit and your intuition. That is how synchronicity happens regarding tarot readings. The same goes for jumper cards. Spirit makes that happen, so you must pay attention to jumper cards. However, synchronicity will not take over if you pull random cards without putting your energy into them as you shuffle. That means the cards you will pull will be hit or miss, making it meaningless. When reading the cards, you need to focus on your intuition and go with the energetic pull from spirit; that is how synchronicity happens.
