King Charles III’s coronation falls at a critical moment. Support for the monarchy is lower than it was during Queen Elizabeth II's reign, and the royal family's dynamics have never been messier. Here’s what to know:

Camilla's transformation from the most-hated person in the UK to the queen is complete. Decades ago, she was known to the public as Charles' mistress – the other woman Princess Diana famously referred to during her bombshell 1995 "Panorama" interview.
King Charles inherited an estimated $9.5 billion royal real-estate portfolio — which includes Balmoral Castle and Sandringham Estate.
Princess Anne is Charles’ secret weapon. She has been frequently recognized as one of the hardest-working royals in the family — and she could be a useful resource in helping Charles win the public’s favor.
