My Top 3 is a weekly post where I count down three things I love in a random category. This week, we’re looking at my top three non-alcoholic beverages.

Thirst is a fact of life. We are human, ergo we need to drink. We’ve innovated so many beverages that things sometimes take absurd routes. (What even was orbitz?) But having options is fun. I enjoy trying new to me beverages like bubble tea (I’m a fan) and aloe vera juice (not a fan… decidedly not a fan).

Beverages are not just enjoyable, they are a part of culture. Influencers have made a “thing” of juicing. Energy drinks are practically required in athletic training. Soda is a hotly contested subject. Discourses have been written on the cola wars. Where would we be without coffee shops? Numerous cultures have rituals and ceremonies around specific beverages.

A cup of liquid is more than a drink. It's an essential part of our daily lives. From nutrients to gatherings, we are what we drink.
