Good morning.

Today we’re listening to Arun Ramamurthy and Trina Basu, Indian classical violinists based in New York City. Both musicians are inspired by traditional ragas as well as Western classical and American folk music. Their collaborative LP, Nakshatra, from this past January, is a spare, modern expression of traditional raga music. That’s their only LP to date, but we’re also linking to a live performance of theirs from The P.I.T. in Brooklyn from a few weeks ago.
