Late yesterday, Elon Musk hosted a fawning, Twitter Spaces conversation with Democratic Presidential Candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. This was an odd pairing. Kennedy is a member of the oldest and most popular Democratic political dynasty. He is the son of Robert Kennedy and the nephew of President John Kennedy. While at one point Musk was an Obama-supporting clean energy entrepreneur, in recent years, the Twitter owner has become a fully-Redpilled Right Winger.

However, Musk fits right in with the folks propelling Kennedy’s quixotic campaign forward. Kennedy Jr., infamous for his dangerous disproven views on vaccines, is the belle of the MAGA ball. Kennedy feels at home on Fox News and in interviews with the likes of Alex Jones. He is more likely to appear on Ben Shapiro’s podcast than Pod Save America.

The people most angry at the Democratic National Committee for not sponsoring primary debates between Biden and fringe contenders like RFK Jr. are not liberal Democrats but hardcore MAGA Republicans and Trump flunkies.

Sure, Kennedy Jr.’s anti-vaccine views are a perfect fit in a Republican Party dominated by anti-science rhetoric and kooky conspiracy theories. But he is also pro-choice, pro-gun safety and holds a series of standard Democratic positions that are anathema to the Right. So, why are MAGA Republicans leading the RFK Jr. cheer squad?
