With enough referrals, you could win a comp’d subscription! Good morning. It’s Friday so we’re listening to something more upbeat. Today we’re listening to Squarepusher, an English electronic musician and bassist from Essex. We previously recommended him in 2021 on the recommendation of Scott. In the ‘90s, Squarepusher advanced a novel form of electronic music that incorporated jazz progressions with frantic drum samples. As working music, Squarepusher mimics the heavy processing power associated with deep focus. That’s why we’re re-upping his two albums recommended previously: Feed Me Weird Things from 1996 and Hard Normal Daddy from 1997. Feed Me Weird Things - Squarepusher (80m, no vocals) Hard Normal Daddy - Squarepusher (60m, no vocals) Have a wonderful weekend.
