Flow State - Al Wootton
You’re on the free tier of Flow State. To support our work and unlock more music, become a paid subscriber: Good morning. It’s Friday so we’re listening to something more upbeat. Today we’re listening to Al Wootton, an electronic music producer from South London. In 2009 he started putting out records under the name Deadboy, scoring a few club hits in the UK dance scene.¹ Since 2019, however, he’s put out a bunch of music under his own name, reflecting a wide range of influences from garage to dub to jungle to house. We’re first playing his brand new LP, We Have Come to Banish the Dark, which is fast-paced techno with sounds that strangely blend artificial and natural. We’re also playing his 2020 LP, Witness, on which the above influences surface more recognizably. We Have Come to Banish the Dark - Al Wootton (40m, no vocals) Witness - Al Wootton (40m, vocals on tracks 1 and 6) We included tracks from his other EPs and singles on our Flow State Today Spotify playlist for paid subscribers. Have a wonderful weekend. Rate today’s rec: Awesome | Good | Meh | Bad | Terrible Support Flow State by becoming a subscriber | Group Subscriptions |
