One simple, direct email from Blockdata founder Jonathan Knegtel changed the trajectory of his business.

Three months later, he sold his business to CB Insights.

That direct approach was appealing, Anand Sanwal, CEO of CB Insights, said on the Wharton Fintech Podcast. “What he did was atypical and that actually just made it so we could jump into the fray really quickly,” he said.
