I waste about 5-hours a week on social media.

Lately, I’m so tired from getting through the day as a new mom / working full-time with no childcare that when the day is over and the baby goes to bed, all I have the energy and the desire to do is scroll through TikTok. That usually takes up my entire 9pm-10pm hour before bed.

Odd Ways to Trade Time for Money

1. Sleep studies: Some medical research facilities pay participants to spend extended periods in a controlled environment while studying sleep patterns and responses to various interventions. More details.

2. Human billboards: People may agree to wear advertising on their clothing or carry promotional signs in public spaces for a fee. A company you can join to help you land jobs.

3. Renting out ad space on personal belongings: Some individuals have earned money by selling advertising space on their cars or laptops. This company is interesting.

4. Renting out garden space: If someone has a large backyard, they could rent out space to urban farmers or gardeners looking for a place to grow vegetables. More details.

5. Participating in focus groups: Companies often conduct focus group sessions to gather feedback on their products or services and are willing to pay participants for their time and opinions. Find some here.

6. Renting out storage space: If someone has extra storage space in their home or garage, they could rent it out to individuals or businesses in need of storage solutions. Love this company.
