Issue 284 - Paint it Ultra Red

Dual Wireless Charger for 2021-2023 Model 3 and Y
[Sponsored] I can't be the only one annoyed by the OEM charger not working correctly due to the camera bump on my iPhone. Many reached out to our friends at TWRAPS seeking a solution, and they've delivered. With this new product, any iPhone or Android with a MagSafe-compatible case will charge seamlessly in your refreshed Model 3 or Model Y.

This accessory fits snugly in the center console, and its clever design still allows easy access to its contents. For me, its utility is twofold: it charges my iPhone and conceals the clutter in my center console. ๐Ÿ˜†

Mobile App

All Hertz rentals in the US now allow full Tesla app access ๐Ÿ“น
By providing an easy-to-scan QR code on the screen, Hertz Tesla rentals now allow for full Tesla app access. The Tesla app is useful for various reasons, including knowing when the charging session will end, sending addresses from your phone, and activating the HVAC system as you approach your car.

In addition, if you enable cloud profiles on your Tesla, your settings will automatically be accessible in the rental car. This is fantastic!

50,000 Superchargers

Special Edition, Ultra Red Supercharger commemorates the installation of 50,000 Superchargers worldwide ๐Ÿ“น
This past week, Tesla achieved a new milestone with their Supercharger network: they've now installed over 50,000 Superchargers worldwide! The 50,000th Supercharger is Ultra Red and features a plaque marking its significance. If you're interested in visiting or are nearby, you can find it in Roseville, California.

Cybertruck at the 50,000th Supercharger ๐Ÿ“ท
We recently discussed the 50,000th Supercharger. The news about this Supercharger drew many Tesla enthusiasts. A Twitter user visited the site and spotted a Cybertruck charging at the 50,000th stall.

FSD

Tesla FSD stops for Emergency Vehicle ๐Ÿ“น
Great video, the Tesla doesn't even try to start crossing the intersection while a human driver crosses it when they shouldn't.

Model 3

Model 3 Highland @ Tesla Store in Paris ๐Ÿ“ท
Nice gallery of photos of the Model 3 Highland, this one located at a Tesla Store in Paris. I really like how sharp the front of the car looks with the new bumper and headlights. However, I'm not sure if my kids will fight more over the rear screen and who gets to use it.

Model 3 powered liftgate retrofit
If your Model 3 was made before 2021 and you never had a powered liftgate retrofit done by one of the third-party sellers, you can now have it done by Tesla for $800. The price includes shipping to a Service Center and installation.

Tesla Energy

Teslaโ€™s Autobidder software surpasses $330 Million in profits
Tesla's Autobidder, a platform connecting energy hardware like Powerpacks, Powerwalls, and Megapacks, has generated over $330 million in trading profit since its inception. Autobidder uses machine learning to optimize energy hardware usage and monetization, allowing real-time trading and operational strategy configuration. The platform's portfolio has grown from 1.2 GWh in 2021 to 7 GWh in 2023.

๐Ÿค“ What the acronym
As a Tesla fan, I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.
  • FSD: Full Self-Driving
  • HVAC: Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning
