I randomly met Ryan Gibbons at a gas station (!) in Girona, Spain. He was wearing a UAE team jersey. I thought he was a poser. 😅

Turns out, this 29-year-old is a national champion cyclist from South Africa and indeed competes for one of the best teams in the world. 

But the life of a pro cyclist isn’t as glamorous as you might think. If you’ve ever wondered how much income they make, and what separates amateurs from professionals, you’ll want to give this a listen on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. 

Hint: His work ethic is UNREAL.
