The largest EVER 4 day work week pilot, involving 360k people, happened in May when 4 public holidays fell in a row in Valencia 🇪🇸

Here's the results:

• 🟩 Happiness: +18%
• 🟩 Traffic: -9.5%
• 🟩 Job/life satisfaction: +12%
• 🟩 Physical exercise: +16%
• 🟩 Work stress: -6%
• 🟩 Exhaustion: -16%
• 🟩 Air pollution: decreased eg. -54% NO2 on days off
• 🟩 Reading & studying: increased
• 🟩 Better sleep: 64% of participants
• 🟩 Childcare / family time: improved
• 🟩 Leisure & hospitality spending: increased
• 🟧 Retail spending: decreased (shops closed)
• 🟧 Healthcare: increased congestion
• 🟧 Tobacco & alcohol consumption: increased

Overall, VERY positive results...

Especially when some of the downsides can be addressed e.g. for retail spending: rotating shifts, rather than closing the shops
