As were saying, this one didn't take long. FTX co-founder and former CEO Sam Bankman-Fried has been found guilty of fraud and money laundering on all seven counts. The jury took only four hours to reach a verdict on six of the counts. SBF faces a total possible sentence of 115 years.

Animoca Brands, the nine-year-old Hong Kong startup that has developed Web3 games such as The Sandbox and invested in blockchain gaming and NFT companies such as Dapper Labs and OpenSea, raised a $50 million round from Saudi Arabia’s NEOM Company. The investment will be divided equally between the purchase of convertible notes and secondary shares. The company has raised a total of $500+ million. VentureBeat has more here.
Atom Bank, a nine-year-old startup based in Durham, UK, that operates an app-based bank, raised a $121.8 million round at a $412 million valuation, a 17% decrease in valuation from last year's previous round, per the Financial Times. Infinitum, an Austin startup that develops high-efficiency, sustainable industrial motors, raised a $185 million Series E round led by Just Climate, with additional participation from Galvanize Climate Solutions and NGP as well as previous investors Alliance Resource Partners, Rockwell Automation, Riverstone Holdings, Chevron Technology Ventures, Cottonwood Technology Fund, and Ajax Strategies. Matic, a six-year-old startup based in Mountain View, Ca., that makes a robot vacuum that does not send information to the cloud, raised a $24 million Series A round. Investors included GitHub co-founder Nat Friedman, Stripe co-founders John and Patrick Collison, Quora CEO Adam D’Angelo, and Twitter co-founder and Block CEO Jack Dorsey. Xage Security, a seven-year-old Palo Alto startup whose software helps clients stop network attacks, raised a $20 million Series B2 round. ex/ante, new, New York-based outfit, has garnered $33 million into capital commitments to focus on “agentic tech” — or tech that relates to human agency and rights in the digital age. Spun out of Schmidt Futures, a philanthropic venture arm of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, ex/ante tells Forbes it will invest in pre-seed and seed stage startups.

Pagerduty, a company that centralizes alerts and notifications from different monitoring tools and systems and routs them to the right people, is acquiring Jeli.io, a four-year-old San Francisco startup whose incident response bots are used by customers like Slack, Zendesk, SentinelOne, F and LastPass. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Jeli.io has raised a total of $19 million, and this past September, it raised a $15 million Series A
round led by Addition, with Boldstart Ventures, Heavybit, and Harrison Metal also taking part. Pagerduty went public in 2019.
